Pulaski Axe 3.5 lb. combination axe and grub hoe has a drop forged, heat treated head and 36” Ergo handle. The ground and tempered cutting edge enhances nick resistance and prolongs wear of the blade. The Pulaski Axe is used for digging fire lines in soft and hard soils.
Fire Axes and the Pulaski feature Ergo Power® injection-molded handles in safety-yellow. The Ergo handle has a solid fiberglass core made through a pultrusion process that uses a unique resin and thousand of strands of fiberglass becoming resistant to weather and chemicals. It will not conduct heat/cold or absorb moisture. The ergonomically designed 36” contoured handle with a deer-foot grip style prevents slippage even in wet conditions. Due to less gripping effort, it reduces arm strain and fatigue. Handles are unaffected by cuts, blows, moisture, most industrial chemicals and are easy to clean. They have a high shelf life since they are unaffected by fungus, termites or dry rot as with wood handles. All tools are designed for safety, strength and durability. The handles are more rigid and considerably safer than wood.
