Offering good handling, great functionality, and easy use, Petzl’s AM’D Twist-Lock H-Frame Carabiner is ideal for attaching devices to a harness.

Featuring an efficient D shape, the asymmetrical aluminum AM’D carabiner is best suited for connecting a belay system on either end or for holding a large quantity of equipment.

The D shape also enables you to solidly grip the carabiner with your gloves on. The carabiner’s fluid interior design limits the risk of having a catch point and facilitates rotation of the carabiner. The H-frame cross-section ensures an optimal strength-to-weight ratio and protects the carabiner’s markings from abrasion.

With its automatic locking and triple-action gate opening, the Twist-Lock system enables reliable quick opening and allows you to connect a GRIGRI to the harness. The keylock system avoids any involuntary snagging of the carabiner.

The AM’D carabiner may be used with a CAPTIV positioning bar to favor loading of the carabiner along the major axis in order to limit the risk of it flipping and to keep it integrated with the device.
