    Not the best smoke cutter

Posted by Verified Buyer on Jul 1st 2024

I do not like this light as much as I like the old style Vantage. This light is very bright but the beam is more of a flood light which is good on scene but not in smoke. I do like the small size and easy on/off button. I would only recommend this light for rescue or general lighting but not interior fire work.

    DO NOT BUY

Worked for about 2 wks - then started working intermittently, then not at all. Thought it was batteries, but it was just a terrible product.

    Very light and low Profile

I like that this light is lightweight and has a low profile and very useful on the fire scene.

    Not worth the money!

Posted by Verified Buyer on Sep 25th 2019

The Vantage II is not a worthy replacement for the Vantage I. I did like the small size, however the battery life is horrible. It is super bright for about 25% of the battery life. From there it drops dramatically. I have to replace batteries too often and at a high cost. I also had issues with the construction. It fell apart twice where the mount meets the flashlight. Repair is very difficult due to extremely small parts. There are better options for your money.

I like how easy it is to turn On and Off with any kind of gloves.

    Awesome Upgrade

Posted by Verified Buyer on Apr 30th 2019

Great helmet mounted light. Batteries last awhile. Very bright on both settings. Downfall need to make sure all parts are tight. Ended up losing a set screw, contacted Streamlight and they were very helpful in sending parts out right away. Other than that great light.

    Poorly Engineered Light

Posted by Verified Buyer on Mar 23rd 2019

My Vantage II helmet light came apart within four months of purchasing it. Streamlight designed the light so that the light enclosure is secured to the mount with a small nut. The nut loosened and the light slid off of the mount. Fortunately, the light was on, so I was able to locate it. The nut is so small, however, that I can find no tool that will allow me to remount the light on the mount. Seems like poor engineering to me.
