Simulaids’ Sim-VS Simulation Platform is an excellent tool to give students hands-on training in a variety of nursing, EMS, and respiratory therapy scenarios.

Designed for use on live patients or manikins, the Sim-VS Simulation Platform features high-resolution monitors that can display over 200 cardiac and respiratory waveforms, as well as 12 leads and X-rays. The platform’s bed alarms can be adjusted to alert students to important details in the simulation.

The instructor’s tablet controls the physiological displays of 3 types of monitor interfaces: defibrillator, hospital monitor, and mechanical ventilator. The instructor can control up to 10 tablets at a time and has wide control over the platform’s realistic physiology. 2 way wireless communication allows instructors to monitor student decisions during simulation. Built-in checklists enable performance capture for structured debriefings.

The platform includes a comprehensive scenario library for nursing, EMS, and respiratory therapy. The easy-to-use scenario editor allows for the rapid creation of new scenarios or editing of existing ones, while the Community Server function enables scenario sharing across organizations. The system’s portability and use of multiple monitor types allow in-situ and IPE scenarios.
