I replaced my shield with these and they work great. They are lighter and smaller than a shield, and don't get hung up on obstacles as easily as a shied does. There are five of us on our department that have been using these over the last few years and they have worked so well that the department is getting every member a pair. They work very well for wildland/field fires as well as for extrication. I would recommend getting a goggle sleeve to keep the lens clean when your not using them, and anti-fog spray.

These goggles have really held up to the test, surviving a few interior fires with little to no damage noted. I really like the size and comfort of wearing them, as they fit easily over top of my prescription glasses, allowing me to keep my eyes protected while wearing my glasses, which is a big advantage over regular safety glasses.

I replaced the shield on my helmet with these. They are lighter weight and don't get hung up on obsticals. Plus they look cool.

Love the ease of mounting and how much comfort that they have.
